My good friend Jeanie Ross' mother in law lived in Bethel, Alaska as a child in the early 1900's. When she grew older she wanted to write about Bethel and its people. She documented births, death, marriages, trips and other events in the lives of the people that lived there. She amassed hundreds, if not thousands, of index cards with information about Bethel's inhabitants.

I feel like the "Alaska Project" is such an important resource for those with ancestors from Bethel. Native people as well as the white settlers are represented in these cards. I am including an index here. I do have access to all of the cards scanned images, so if you find an ancestor on the index, email me and I will send you the scanned image of the index card with biographical information on it.
