It looks like W. S. Hostetler (Wesley S Hostetler) is the son of Adam and Barber (sic?) Hostetler of Montgomery, Hickory, Missouri.
Dollie was the daughter of Joseph and Alice Carpenter of Wheatland, Missouri. The family is in the 1900 U. S. Federal Census for Wheatland, Hickory, Missouri.
At some point, this couple moves to California. Wesley registered for the World War I draft in Colton, San Bernardino, California. In the 1920 U. S. Federal Census, the couple is living in Redlands, San Bernardino County. They have no children listed. Wesley is working at the electrical power plant.
In 1930, the couple is still living in Redlands. Wesley is an electrician and Dolly is working for one of the citrus packinghouses.
Dollie is found in the California Death Index. Her birth date is listed as 26 April 1882 and her death date is listed as 11 Feb 1970 in San Bernardino County, California. Wesley is also listed in the California Death Index. It states that his birth date is 8 October 1880 and that he died on 21 May 1962. He also died in San Bernardino County. His mother’s maiden name is Youder.
I purchased the framed certificate from an antique store in Yucaipa, San Bernardino, California. The frame has a sticker on the back from Redlands, San Bernardino, California.
